I offer trauma recovery coaching for individuals who have discovered (usually through DNA testing) that they are not biologically related to a parent. My services include virtual one-on-one coaching sessions and supportive group discussions through a virtual book club, designed to help you process your experience and find a path forward.
I facilitate a supportive online book club designed exclusively for those who have experienced a NPE. Discover helpful books and connect with others who truly understand your journey in a thoughtful, judgment-free setting.
Through our virtual meetings, you’ll benefit from:
In the group book club, you read selected books and share your thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive space. The book club is housed on a private app. Live group discussions will take place either on the app or on zoom. Optional reflection prompts and workbooks to help you work through your experience. You get connection and understanding from people who truly get what you’re going through.
You will read books that focus on trauma education, healing, and identity. The selections include memoirs, self-help, and stories from people who have also experienced family surprises. Each book is chosen to help you understand yourself better and support your journey.
The plan is for the group book club to meet once a month. Each session lasts about 90 to 120 minutes. This will give people plenty of time to discuss the book, share thoughts, and connect with others in the group. I am open to meeting twice a month if the group decides that would be helpful in the future.
I offer personalized virtual coaching sessions tailored specifically for individuals navigating the complexities of Non-Parental Events (NPE). You will have my full attention as we work together to address your emotions, questions, and next steps after discovering unexpected information about your parentage.
Each session is private and compassionate, providing:
You get support working through the emotions and confusion that come with learning about your non-parental event. You can talk openly about your story, set goals for healing, and get practical steps for moving forward. I listen without judgment and help you feel understood and empowered. I provide trauma education where appropriate and can direct you to other supportive resources.
Your one-on-one coaching sessions last 50 minutes. I have found this gives people time to talk through thoughts and feelings, get support, and work on personal goals at a comfortable pace.
Yes, what you share in our sessions is private. I respect your trust and keep your information confidential, so you can feel safe and comfortable talking about your experiences and feelings.
I provide curated educational resources to help you understand the emotional and practical aspects of NPEs. Whether you are new to this journey or looking for deeper understanding, my resources help you gain clarity and confidence.
This service includes:
You have access to articles, recommended books, virtual group discussions, and one-on-one coaching. These resources are chosen to help you learn, find support, and connect with others who understand what you are going through.
Yes, you can use this service no matter where you live. All support, resources, and coaching are offered online, so location is never a barrier.
Trauma-informed coaching is not a substitute for therapy. Your well-being is my highest priority. If you need support beyond the scope of my practice, I will refer you to a therapist. I can either direct you to online therapist listings or a specific vetted therapist if I know of one in your area.
I teach proven self-care and emotional wellness techniques designed for those who have experienced a sudden change in personal identity related to NPEs. These methods help you build resilience and foster a sense of stability on your path to healing.
You will learn to:
I offer a safe space where you can share your feelings and talk openly about your experience. Together, we work through the pain, confusion, and big emotions so you can start to heal and find new ways to feel strong and supported.
Everyone is different, so how quickly you feel better can depend on your own situation and feelings. Many people notice small improvements in a few sessions, while deeper healing may take more time. You will find your own pace, and I am here to support you through the process.
